Consultation Packages
Bringing Home Baby
Karen guides new parents on everything they need to know for their baby's first weeks of life. With Karen's guidance, baby and parents will begin their journey with a healthy start focusing on creating harmony and preventing unexpected problems. Advice and demonstrated strategies spanning from "head to toe" are covered and include:
- Feeding (Breast or Bottle)
- Sleeping
- Nurturing
- Diaper Changing
- Clothing
- Safety
- Bathing (if appropriate)
- Parental dynamics
FEE: $300 includes a comprehensive, individualized in-home consultation.
Breast Feeding, Pumping and / or
Bottle Feeding
Master the dynamics of breast feeding, pumping, and/or bottle feeding with Karen’s relaxed in-home consultation.
FEE: $75 per hour (a minimum of 2 consecutive feedings required).
Nutrition and Starting Solids
(5/6 - 12 months of age)
Karen will take you through what to feed your baby and when which includes developing individualized schedules, what not to feed your baby and why, and safety issues with feeding. Learn how to build good eating habits for a healthy and happy baby.
FEE: $350 includes an in-home customized consultation & written Nutrition Plan according to your child's specific age, weight and level of activity.
Naps & Night Sleep RoutinesThis is Karen's most requested service and the one that has made her a sleep consulting leader in the Bay Area. Karen's approach to sleep employs the Sleep Association Method which provides parents with a happy, healthy alternative to "crying it out".
The Consultation Package includes approximately 6 hours of work and consists of:
- Pre-Evaluation Phone Questions based on baby's weight, age, term or premature delivery, etc.
- Karen's pre-preparing a customized "Projected Progression" prior to the first meeting based on the information obtained from the family.
- Karen's visit to the family's home for an evaluation of the baby and an approximate 4 hour, hands-on individualized consultation to train parents on how to implement her "Projected Progression" techniques and to clarify expectations of the baby's new sleep pattern.
- 1 hour of phone follow-up (following the in-house consultation) for guidance and support which helps the parents to work through any difficult areas.
FEE:
$450-$550$45 per ½ hour for additional pre-paid phone consultations made available by request.
Miscellaneous Services & Phone Consultations
- Karen's services are often "gifted" to new parents by friends and family.
- Karen can be hired to speak at Mother's Groups.
- Phone consultations are available on all subjects and are billed in ½ hour time increments for families out-of-the area or for parents who are unable to meet Karen in person.
While all consulting packages involve a specific focus, post partum dynamics, sibling issues, behavior & development concerns and special subjects are addressed when needed or requested.
